.......................................................What a beautiful little girl.............
The time changed in the UK today and job done, we have corrected every clock in the house.
My mind is still in Japan and this time it is a house named the
H house by Sou Fujimoto Architects - so cool.
............................................I do like it very much and I hope you all do as well.
I was lucky enough when I lived in Australia to get to know two boys from Japan: Shin and Go and they later became my friends. Sadly we lost contact, anyway I know I will catch up with them one day - I feel privileged to have go to know them. I find Japanese people exceptionally charming and their children are just so beautiful.
How unique and special is that....and yes, good morning
with Hideyuki Nakayama Architecture
My favorite designs and architecture is Scandinavian, and very close behind is a country that I would love to visit one day and it is no. 1 on my travelling list, the amazing Japan. It is hard to explain what it is, anyway they have got it over there and they are so hard to beat. If Iceland and Japan were people those two countries that are so far away from each other would be twins.
Yes I know we live in a beautiful world, I have just started my blog, still my list of things that I like to share with you is endless.
We all love wood, it is one of the most sustainable materials the world has to offer & those people know how to use it - my favorite is the cabinet named Joyce the one with the sliding glass fronted doors - what a beauty.
Pinch is the collaboration between husband & wife named Russell Pinch & Oona Bannon.
All photography by individuals please find out more about them on the Pinch web page.
Australia has a very special place in my heart, it is one of the countries I have lived in & I can easily say - I love it & all my 'family' and friends there as well - I will always miss you all. The people behind this architecture work for a company based in Victoria Australia, we are talking about Studio 101 architects.
What I like about this design is that you can tell that they have thought about every single thing in this building & the results speak for it self. God is in the details that is for sure & I hope you can see the wishbone chair by Hans J. Wegner as well as I can.
Mama Look is the name of this beautiful sofa. Designed by Anna Kraitz from Sweden, she is in my mind a designer that is wort keeping our eyes on in the future - I think she can hold her head up high and should be so proud of this very elegant peace of furniture.
Hans J. Wegnerwas a Danish furniture designer, born in 1914 (the same year as my grandad) and then sadly past away back in 2007, he is with out no doubt my favorite designer - his timeless design and all the beautiful furniture he has left us with say it all, I can not think of a better image to start off my blog. I would love to be able to have the opportunity to spend just one day inside his head...
Thank you Hans I just love you and all your work. ♥
